Application fee for NEET-UG increased by Rs 100

CHENNAI [Maha Media]: NEET UG 2023 registration has commenced and interested candidates will be able to apply for the national-level medical entrance exam by April 6, 11;50 PM at the official website neet.nta.nic.in. National Testing Agency (NTA) has increased the NEET UG 2023 application fee this year and has reduced the number of exam cities in India.

NEET 2023 exam will be held on May 7, 2023, for admission to MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS and other medical courses offered in India. NTA will conduct the exam at 485 exam cities across the country. The exam will be conducted in pen and paper-based mode. NEET UG 2023 exam will be a duration of 3 hours and 20 minutes, from 2 PM to 5.20 PM and will comprise 200 questions. The subjects include Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany Zoology).

This year's application fee is INR 1,700 for general category students, INR 1600 for EWS/ OBC-NCL candidates and for SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender candidates, the fee is INR 900. For all candidates outside India, the application fee is INR 9,500. All applicants have to pay GST and processing charges which will be in addition to exam fees.

The number of exam cities for NEET UG 2023 is 485 cities across India and 14 cities abroad. Last year, NEET was held in 543 exam cities in India and the number of exam cities abroad remains the same.
