MP: BU starts registration on class XII marks

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: As results of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is delayed, Barkatullah University has started registration for admission in UG programme based on class XII result. The university has received 1.60 lakh applications through CUET including 80,000 application for PG programme. The university is conducting admission process for nine UG and 48 PG programme. Seats remain vacant after CUET admission will be filled up based on class XII mark-sheet. 

CUET exam has been conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Officials expected that CUET result will be declared in first week of August. After declaring the result, several round of counselling will begin in universities. Universities will be giving at least 20 days for reporting after admission. 

The University is yet to start online admission process for courses excluding BBA, B.Com and M.Com session 2023-24. The university has started registration process for non CUET candidates based on class XII marks on July 3. Students who did not appear for the CUET exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) would be allowed to appear in this counselling round. 

Admission committee coordinater Professor Mona Purohit informed that all PG and UG courses under University Teaching Department (UTD) brought under CUET. She said, admission in all UG, PG programme was supposed to allow through CUET but the result  of CUET is still awaiting. 

Though students appeared for CUET will get preference but vacant seats will be filled up wuth non CUET candidates. She Said till CUET result get declared, university is starting registration for non CUET candidates.
