CBSE releases guidelines for bagless days in schools
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday recently released the guidelines for the implementation of 10 bagless days in schools. The guidelines have been bifurcated in three parts namely science, environment and technology, Public Offices, Local Industries and Businesses and Art, Culture and History. These guidelines include Visit to a Bird Sanctuary, Cycle Rally on ‘Go-Green’, identification of Plants, Trees and Birds around school, visits to villages, panchayat offices, puppetry and others.
As stated by the board in the letter, under these guidelines, students may visit historical monuments, cultural sites, craft canters, places of tourist interest and many more. They can meet local artists and craftsmen, which can broaden their understanding of different concepts and traditions, and help them appreciate the importance of preserving heritage. More importantly, it helps to inculcate a love for going to school every day. When students enjoy their school experience, they are more likely to be motivated to learn and to develop a lifelong love for education.
