PM Modi to launch PM-USHA digitally at Mumbai University
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will digitally launch the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) through video conferencing at a programme in Sir Kawasji Jahangir Convocation Hall of Mumbai University today.
According to an official press release from Mumbai University, a grant of 20 crore rupees has been approved for the infrastructure and educational development of Mumbai University.
He informed that funds were sanctioned to various higher educational institutions of the country under PM Usha to strengthen the higher educational institutions of the country, develop infrastructural facilities, and implement new educational activities.
Mumbai University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ravindra Kulkarni said, under the Pradhan Mantri Uchtar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) various schemes are to be implemented at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Kalyan and Thane sub-campus and Kalina Complex under a grant of 20 crore rupees approved by Mumbai University. These include a new girl's hostel in the Kalina complex, a volleyball ground in Thane suburb, a tennis ground, a solar power generation system, a protective wall, entrance and beautification, internal roads, rainwater harvesting, modernization of incubation center in the Kalina complex, special work in artificial intelligence allied health sector. He added that with the help of artificial intelligence, special emphasis will be placed on the emerging sectors of health services and machine learning.
