Massive turnout amid tight security for UP Police Constable Exam 2024
LUCKNOW [Maha Media]: Aspirants thronged exam centres across Uttar Pradesh on Saturday for the police constable recruitment exam 2024, conducted for over 60,000 vacancies, under tight security.
Long queues were witnessed at centres in Moradabad and Kanpur, marking the start of exams scheduled on August 23, 24, 25, 30, and 31 at 67 locations statewide. Conducted in two shifts daily, each shift will accommodate about five lakh candidates.
The Uttar Pradesh Police, ensuring smooth proceedings, have implemented extensive security and assistance measures. Joint Commissioner (Law & Order) Amit Verma confirmed, 'Teams are deployed at centres for both security and student facilitation,' while GRP SP Prashant Verma added that dedicated help desks assist candidates, especially those from distant districts.
The security setup includes deployments from the Rapid Action Force (RAF), police, civil defense, Government Railway Police (GRP), and Railway Protection Force (RPF). This re-examination follows orders from Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, necessitated by a paper leak earlier this year.
