ISRO's Aditya-L1 Captures Solar Flares from L1
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: ISRO's Aditya-L1 spacecraft has successfully captured stunning images of recent solar flares, the space agency announced on Monday.
Having reached the Lagrangian point (L1)—located 1.5 million km away from Earth—the spacecraft's onboard instruments, SUIT and VELC, documented the Sun's dynamic activities during May 2024.
The captured phenomena include several X-class and M-class flares, which resulted in significant geomagnetic storms, showcasing the mission's success in providing valuable solar observations.
