Vidyadhan Scholarship for Indian Students 2023-24
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Vidyadhan Scholarship Program from Sarojini Damodaran Foundation supports the college education of meritorious students from economically challenged families. The applications are open for college students at the official website - vidyadhan.org.
The students are selected after completion of 10th grade /SSLC through a rigorous selection process including test and interview. Currently Vidyadhan program has around 6500 students across the following states: Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Goa, Odisha, New Delhi and Ladhak.
Those selected will be eligible for two year scholarship from the Foundation. If they continue to do well, they will be given scholarship for pursuing any degree course of their interest; these scholarships are directly through the foundation or external sponsors who have registered with the Foundation. The scholarship amount for graduation courses varies from INR 10,000 to INR 60,000 per year depending on the state, course, duration etc. The selected students will be required to attend the mentoring programs from the Foundation.
There are different programs under the scheme based dedicated to each states.
To be eligible for the Vidyadhan Scholarship, students must be in Class 11 and have a maximum annual family income of INR 2,00,000. The last date to apply varies based on the region. For students from Goa, Gujarat, Tamilnadu, and Puducherry, the last date to apply is August 15, 2023. For students from Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Ladakh, Maharashtra, Delhi, and Uttar Pradesh, the last date to apply is August 31, 2023.
