IGNOU extends admission date for July 2023 session to Sept 20
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the application date for admission 2023 July session by September 20. For registration in second year students can submit their form with late fee by September 20. All these admission in first and second year will be held in online mode. Earlier last date of admission was September 10. The university has invited application for admission in more than 180 academic programmes.
Aspiring candidates can confirm their admission by uploading their required documents and digital payment at home. Dr Binni Toms, Senior Regional Director, Bhopal, informed that university is running academic programme following National Education Policy. He said students have been provided academic flexibility and various syllabus are drafted modular. He said there is credit weightage in all syllabus and degree exit facility for students after completing a fixed credit. IGNOU is also providing multiple entry and exit facility in all programme. He said all programmes are designed under National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 provisions to [rovide multiple education system to the students.
Dr Toms informed that IGNOU has introduced new programme from January 2023 for skill development of youth. On graduation level, there are 14 general subjects and 14 honours under choice based credit system (CBCS). Students get several opportunities to choose their subject and gain knowledge from various sectors. This year university is introducing graduation level facility and service management. There are 55 programmes on PG level. There is provision of free of cost admission to SC/ ST candidates.
