NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: The Space Applications Centre (ISRO) in Ahmedabad and AlphaMERS Ltd., Bengaluru, formalized their partnership with an MOU signed on July 4, 2024. The collaboration aims to leverage combined resources to develop and refine a robust Artificial Intelligence model designed to identify and profile marine pollution.

The cutting-edge AI technology will focus on detecting macro plastics and oil spills in India's coastal waters through remote sensing capabilities. This initiative underscores a significant step toward environmental conservation and technological advancement in the fight against marine pollution.

The partnership highlights the critical role of interdisciplinary cooperation in addressing environmental challenges, setting a precedent for future scientific collaborations aimed at preserving ocean health.
