Prez addresses 3rd convocation of Central University at Ranchi

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Pesident Droupadi Murmu arrived in Ranchi on Wednesday morning, officials said.

She was received by Chief Minister Champai Soren and Governor CP Radhakrishnan at the city's Birsa Munda Airport.

Murmu will attend the third convocation of the Central University of Jharkhand.

She will give three Chancellors' Medals, 64 Gold Medals and PhD Degree to 35 scholars at the convocation ceremony. Following the programme, she will leave for Odisha.

Tomorrow, President Murmu will interact with the members of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups- PVTGs of Kadalibadi village at Gonasika, Keonjhar. Later, she will inaugurate a national seminar on ‘Tribes of Keonjhar: people, culture and heritage’ and address the students of Dharanidhar University at North Campus, Gambharia, Keonjhar. In the evening, the President will grace the 53rd convocation of Utkal University at Bhubaneswar.

On Friday, the President will grace the 25th convocation of Berhampur University at Bhanja Bihar. Later at Cuttack, she will grace the golden jubilee celebration of Brahma Kumaris, Odisha. The President will also witness a presentation of Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) by the Government of Odisha at Raj Bhavan, Bhubaneswar.

On Saturday, the President will visit various places related to Santha Kabi Bhima Bhoi in Sambalpur district of Odisha. She will also meet the followers of Mahima Cult at Mini Stadium, Sambalpur.
