NTA to conduct CUET on June 5

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the date for common university entrance test (CUET) PG examination to be held on June 5. Detail schedule of his exam has been released. CUET will be held in more than 500 cities in Indian for 8 days. 

This will be computer based exam to be held at 1,100 centres. Applicants will get admit card after May 25. In February 2023, University Grants Commission (UGC) wrote for common university test (CUET). The commission said that CUET has been introduced for admission into UG, PG programmes in central universities and other participating universities. 

CUET provides a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across country, especially those from north-east, rural and other remote area and helps to establish better connections with the universities. A single examination enables the candidates to cover a broad outreach and be part of the admissions process to various central and participating universities. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the responsibilities of conducting the CUET- UG/PG. The number of subjects and pattern of question papers will remain the same. A candidate can take as many as domain 6 subjects in addition to one or two languages and the General Test. Medium of examination will be any one including Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjab, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu. Results of CUET-UG are planned to be announced in the third week of June 2023 and those of CUET PG in the first week of July 2023. 

The commission has asked universities to complete their admission process of UG, PG by the end of July 2023 so that academic session begins by August 1, 2023.
