NEET UG: Results of 75 students withheld to be released by 14th
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The Indore Bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court heard 94 petitions on Monday regarding irregularities in the NEET UG 2025 examination. The court has directed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to withhold the results of 75 candidates from Indore exam centres, while allowing the release of results for all other candidates by June 14.
The final hearing on the matter is scheduled for after June 26, with the court’s decision potentially impacting the merit list. On May 4, severe storms and power outages disrupted the NEET UG exam at several centres in Indore. Around 75 candidates, primarily from pm Shri
Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1, reported that a power cut around 3:30 pm plunged their exam halls into darkness. With no backup power arrangements, candidates struggled to read questions, and some centres resorted to lighting candles by 4:30 pm. This significantly hampered their performance during the 2 pm to 5 pm exam shift. The affected candidates filed petitions, later clubbed into a single plea, demanding either a re-examination or a fair evaluation remedy for their disrupted test experience.
