SC refuses to postpone NEET PG exam

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: The bench of the Supreme Court of India on Moday dissmissed the petitions seeking NEET PG 2023 postponement. The court refused to entertain any pleas submitted for the postponement of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test 2023.

A bench of Justices Dipankar Datta and S R Bhat was informed by Additional Solicitor General (ASG) Aishwarya Bhati, representing the National Board of Examinations (NBE), that NEET PG admit card 2023 have been released on Monday as per the original schedule and the counselling may begin on July 15, 2023.

"There is no date available in the near future with our technology partner to conduct the NEET PG exam," she told the SC bench, which dismissed to entertain the two pleas.

The petitioners have sought the medical entrance exam postponement, saying that the counselling is to be held after August 11, 2023, since the internship cut-off date has been extended to that date.

On Friday, the NBE had told the Supreme Court that nearly 2.09 lakh students have registered for the NEET PG 2023 exam and no alternate date for conducting the medical examination may be at hand in the near future if the entrance exam is delayed.
