Hayley Matthews to lead WI in India tour
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: All-rounder Hayley Matthews will lead a 15-member West Indies women’s team during next month’s tour to India for a multi-format series.
The tour comprises three T20 Internationals and three ODIs.
The T20I series will commence at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on December 15 followed by the ODI series at the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium in Vadodara from December 22.
In the absence of the injured Stafanie Taylor, Matthews will be supported by vice-captain Shemaine Campbelle and key players like Deandra Dottin and Afy Fletcher. The team aims to replicate their 2016 success in India, where they secured a 3-0 victory in the T20 series.
