Indigo’s Bhopal-Goa direct flight to take off on May 23
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The 12-year-old demand for direct flight between Bhopal and Goa is going to be fulfilled very soon. After a long wait, Indigo has finally included this flight in the summer schedule. The flight, commencing on May 23, will currently operate thrice a week.
The new integrated terminal in the State capital was inaugurated in 2011. The Airport Authority of India was trying to inaugurate the new terminal with the Goa flight, but it could not happen. For the last 12 years, the youth and tourists of the Bhopal were demanding to start the flight. The wait will be over on May 23. Indigo has also released the schedule of the proposed flight.
This flight 6-E 6971-6972 will be operated on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The flight will be operated from Mopa International Airport in North Goa.
The journey from Bhopal to Goa will be completed in about two hours.
