The plight of migrants

The recent issue of the stated atrocities with the migrant labours in Tamilnadu and the reported hostile locals attitude towards them has one again raised the serious issue of the migrant laborers.

There are many such instances often coming in the notice that various unorganized and even organized sectors employ the laborers on their respective conditions and the compelled laborers often work under pressure for their survival for they do not really get an opportunity in their respective home state that is the basic cause of the migration. However this is the legitimate right of all to migrate and choose its work of interest and capabilities in any part  of the nation and the question today otherwise also is obsolete since the global excess makes the same more appealing and worth migrating not only for skilled labours but obviously for the wise, brilliant professionals.

The right of any one choosing any state or place   across the nation for their livelihood must be respected notwithstanding this the invariable attempts of disappointing such labours from different parts of the nation often hits the headlines of the newspaper.

Indeed since the colonial era the migration is seen and during that time even many foreign nations under the British rule the labours for the vested interest of then administration were migrated and made established.

We therefore now see in many countries the Indian origin people settled generation together.

The Tamilnadu Government has although quickly reciprocated to the recent incidence and came forward with an assurance for no hassles for the migrant workers who started expressing their insecurity and were all set to move back to their respective hone states following the incidence.

The on time measure of remedies have assisted to control the situation yet this is often raising head for this or that reason and the probable cause behind this is that nevertheless the labor laws of all the states and then the national scene in force perhaps the meticulous implementations of the same is not ensured and not religiously followed resulting in the plight of the labors that need to be taken care of.

This indeed is a burning issue. The local administration therefore cannot remain oblivious of the actual status and all the efforts must be to safeguard the interest and securities of those who have come far away to earn their bread and ensure certain savings for the rainy days.
