
MP: Budget will be presented on March 12
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The budget session of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly will start on March 10. Governor Mangubhai Patel will speak on the first day. On March 11, the state government will present the Economic Survey Report. On March 12, Finance Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Devda will present the budget for the Mohan Yadav government for the financial year 2025-26.
This budget is expected to be over four lakh crores. The Mohan government aims to focus on farmers, youth, and women. Additionally, there may be special provisions for the Simhastha Mahakumbh in Ujjain, which will be held in 2028. During this session, there is likely to be strong debate between the ruling party and the opposition on topics like farmers, jobs, corruption, and transport scams.
According to the notification from the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the budget session will run from March 10 to March 24. There will be nine meetings in this session. The Assembly will discuss bills and other matters during this time. There will be a six-day break in the session. It will include a three-day holiday for Holi from March 14 to 16. There will also be a holiday on March 19 for Rangpanchami, as well as breaks on March 22 and 23 for Saturday and Sunday.
MLAs have raised 2,900 questions in the assembly this time. More than 1,785 of these questions are online, and about 1,154 are offline. These questions relate to various departments, and the answers are already being sent to the MLAs.
