PM Modi hails ‘Startup India’ success on 9th anniversary
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: As India marks the 9th year of Startup India today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the government has left no stone unturned to encourage a culture of startups in the country.
In a social media post, Mr. Modi said, that over the past nine years, the transformative programme has empowered countless youngsters, turning their innovative ideas into successful startups. The Prime Minister added that government policies have focused on ‘Ease of Doing Business’, ensuring greater access to resources and supporting startups at every juncture. He said the government is actively promoting innovation and incubation centres so that the youngsters of the country become risk-takers. Mr Modi asserted that the success of the StartUp India programme reflects that today the country is dynamic, confident, and future-ready.
The Prime Minister urged every youngster to pursue a startup.
Launched in 2016, the initiative has fueled the growth of over 100,000 startups, with many achieving unicorn status. It has also created millions of jobs, boosted technological innovation, and attracted global investors to India.
The Prime Minister commended the young entrepreneurs driving this success, saying, “Our startups are not just businesses; they are the flagbearers of India’s journey toward a stronger, self-reliant future.”
With ongoing government support through policies, funding, and incubation centers, the program has positioned India as a global hub for startups, fostering creativity and innovation across sectors. The celebrations included several events showcasing achievements, success stories, and future goals for the initiative.
