PM Modi, Albanese hold 2nd India-Australia Annual Summit

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese held the 2nd India-Australia Annual Summit on the sidelines of G-20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro yesterday. Both leaders reiterated their commitment to further advance Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in areas including defence and security, trade and investment, education, skills, sports, space, mobility and people-to-people ties.
     
They welcomed the launch of the Renewable Energy Partnership, as agreed during the first India-Australia Annual Summit.
      
In a social media post on X, Prime Minister Modi said, the talks were extremely fruitful and the focus will remain on futuristic sectors which will further global growth and sustainability. 
      
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said, this new partnership will boost two way investment in the renewable energy sectors in things like solar, green hydrogen and the renewables workforce. On social media post on X, he said India and Australia  are doing so much work together on driving renewable energy transition to meet our net zero targets.
