
CM Yadav to review preps of two-day GIS
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The state capital is gearing up for the two-day Global Investors Summit scheduled on February 23-24. Roads smoothed, footpaths cleaned, walls painted, fountains & lights installed, plants added... beautification done. The month-long work has finally come to an end!
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will review the final leg of preparations on Saturday. He, along with a team of officers, will visit GIS venue Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalay, Kushabhau Thakare Auditorium, and Sadar Manzil (heritage hotel for VVIP guests) in Bhopal for inspection.
Over 30k registrations were done for the summit. Of which, more than 10k registrations were done in the last 3 days. As a result, the window had to be closed a day before.
Irrespective of the registrations, only 5k industrialists will be present in Manav Sangrahalaya when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the summit on February 24. These include top industrialists of the country like Adani, Mahindra, and Birla.
According to media reports, the venue will accommodate only 25 thousand at the summit venue at once. Therefore, industrialists are allotted different time slots. As soon as the approval is done, they will be sent entry cards via e-mail.
To ensure a systematic process, industrialists will be issued passes of different colours according to their time slots. These time slots will be allotted based on the event the guest has applied for. For instance, those who want to visit the expo will be given entry for that specific venue.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach the summit at 10 am and will stay for one and a half hours, i.e., till 11.30 am. 3k industrialists will be present.
During PM Modi's inauguration program, 2k more industrialists will be present in the session hall. In this way, 5 thousand industrialists will be present at Modi's time.
During his visit to Bhopal for the Global Investors Summit (GIS) on Monday, the PM will be presented with various models highlighting the state’s achievements in different sectors. A senior official from the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) stated that a model on Indore’s famous Hukumchand Mill case illustrate how the government resolved the mill’s liabilities and now a new residential complex is being developed on the premises.
The PM will also review model of Kuno National Park Cheetah Project that will showcase how the project has brought economic transformation in the area and boosted tourism. Apart from this, a model on ambitious Ken-Betwa River Linking project which aims to address the water scarcity plaguing the drought-prone Bundelkhand region , will also be showcased.
The exhibit will showcase how the project will bring a sea change in the lives of the people, particularly farmers, by ensuring a regular supply of water for irrigation. Besides, models on Bhimbetka, tribal art, Mahakal Lok, Madhya Pradesh Textile sector will also be on display for the PM and the GIS guests.
State government is going to assign liaison officers to around 130 Guest of Honours at the GIS. The Guests of Honour include the international dignitaries and prominent industrialists of the country. The liaison officers will be responsible for welcoming and assisting them throughout their visit.
As many as 80 paid stalls will be installed at the GIS venue showcasing the famous cuisines of Bhopal and Indore. A vendor of Bhopal known for his best quality tea will also set up his stall. Ten stalls have been assigned to the IT department.
