Magha Gupta Navratri starts from today

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: The 9 days of Navratri are considered to be some of the most auspicious days in Sanatan Dharma. These days are dedicated to Maa Durga. Navratri comes four times a year, out of which two are Gupt and two are Pratishth Navratri. In Pratishth Navratri, nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped. At the same time, 10 Mahavidyas are worshiped in Gupt Navratri. These Navratris are considered very special for the fulfillment of any special wish. Gupt Navratri of Magh month is starting from today.

This Navratri typically falls between January and February and is an occasion to seek the blessings of Shakti.
Day 1: 30th January 2025 (Thursday)
Day 2: 31st January 2025 (Friday)
Day 3: 1st February 2025 (Saturday)
Day 4: 2nd February 2025 (Sunday)
Day 5: 3rd February 2025 (Monday)
Day 6: 4th February 2025 (Tuesday)
Day 7: 5th February 2025 (Wednesday)
Day 8: 6th February 2025 (Thursday)
Day 9: 7th February 2025 (Friday)


Auspicious time for Ghatasthapana
* First Muhurta - from 9:25 am to 10:46 am
* Total time for Ghatasthapana - 1 hour 21 minutes
* Abhijit Muhurta - from 12:13 pm to 12:56 pm
* Total time for Ghatasthapana - 43 minutes

On this day, along with Shravan and Dhanishtha Nakshatra, Vyatipat Yoga is also being formed, which is considered auspicious for worship.


Puja Vidhi
* Take bath in the morning and wear clean clothes.
* Install the idol of Goddess Durga and offer her a red scarf.
* Light a mustard oil lamp and chant the mantra “Om Dun Durgaayi Namah”.
* Offer red flowers to Maa Durga and recite Durga Saptashati.
* Worship the Goddess by fasting for nine days and worship the girl child on the last day.
* In Gupt Navratri, especially Maa Kali, Tara Devi, Tripura Sundari, Bhuvaneshwari, Baglamukhi, Dhumavati, Matangi and Kamala Devi are worshipped. Their worship provides special spiritual benefits.
