MP: Severe heat in some parts of the state
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Madhya Pradesh is experiencing hot winds called ‘loo’ just before the Nautha festival, which starts on May 25 and lasts until June 2.
In May, there hasn’t been a single day without rain in some part of the state, but now the hot winds are starting to blow in the Gwalior-Chambal region.
On Wednesday, the ‘loo’ will blow strongly in Gwalior, Shyopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Nimar, Tikamgarh, and Chhatarpur districts.
At the same time, 40 districts including Bhopal and Indore have been given alerts for storms and rain, so the weather will remain mixed with heat and rain in different parts of the state.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhopal, on Wednesday, 8 districts in the Gwalior-Chambal and Sagar divisions — Gwalior, Shyopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Nimar, Tikamgarh, and Chhatarpur — will have hot winds (loo).
Meanwhile, districts like Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Khargone, and Jhabua have an orange alert for storms with winds possibly reaching 50-60 km/h or more.
Many districts including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Rewa, and others have a storm and rain alert for the next few days.

May 21: Hot winds in Gwalior, Shyopur, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Nimar, Tikamgarh, and Chhatarpur. Storms with strong winds (60 km/h or more) in Narmadapuram, Betul, Harda, Khargone, Burhanpur, Barwani, Alirajpur, and Jhabua. Other districts including Bhopal and Indore may see storms and rain.
May 22: Strong winds continue in districts like Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani, Khargone, and others. Storm and rain alerts remain for many districts across the state.
May 23: Rain likely in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Rewa, and many other districts. Winds may blow at 30-50 km/h.
May 24: Rain expected in several districts including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Tikamgarh, Rewa, and more, with winds blowing at 30-50 km/h.
Senior meteorologist Arun Sharma said three cyclonic circulations and a trough are active over the state, causing rain and storms to continue for the next few days. Some places may get heavy rain. Hot winds will continue in the Gwalior-Chambal region on Wednesday.
