TATA WPL: MUM W ready to bounce back against GJ W

VADODARA [Maha Media]: Mumbai Indians Women and Gujarat Giants Women are all ready to clash for the first time in WPL 2025. While MI Women have lost their campaign opener against DCW, GGW snatched a convincing win against UP Warriorz in their second WPL 2025 encounter.

With both teams trying to climb up the ranks in the tournament, the stage is set for their first encounter on February 18 at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara.

Fresh off their emphatic win against UP Warriorz, all eyes for the MIW match will be on all-rounder Deandra Dottin who unleashed havoc to secure the chase in the match. The skipper, Ashleigh Gardner also racked up a fifty to announce GGW's form in the tournament.

Harleen Deol and Laura Wolvaardt will also be expected to play their roles with the bat and put up a fight against the Mumbai camp. Meanwhile, Priya Mishra will also be a notable pick from the bowlers who can restrict the Harmanpreet Kaur-led team to put up or chase big totals in the match.

Mumbai Indians Women will be eager to bounce back in their upcoming match against Gujarat Giants Women after a narrow defeat in their last encounter. With key players like Nat Sciver-Brunt showing strong all-round performances, MI will look to build on their batting depth, despite some early setbacks in the previous match.

Harmanpreet Kaur's aggressive style, coupled with the bowling strength of Sciver-Brunt and others, will be crucial for MI to control the game. Mumbai Indians will aim to set the tone with a solid start and tighten their bowling attack to maintain their competitive edge.
