Rupee falls 21 paise against USD
MUMBAI [Maha Media]: The Rupee on Tuesday slipped 21 paise to close at 85.25 on rising demand for US Dollar from foreign banks and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said. High oscillation was seen during the day. Advancing 41 paise in the previous session, the local unit declined 16 paise at 85.19 in early trade today. Till the end of the session, it was tumbled down 21 paise to finish at 85.25 as compared to its last close. Strong Dollar against other world currencies and volatile equity market kept the Rupee weak.
The Rupee recorded intra days high and low at 85.15 and 85.29 respectively, dealer added.
