HAL promises swift delivery of Tejas Jets to IAF

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), the maker of the Light Combat Aircraft 'Tejas,' announced plans to commence deliveries to the Indian Air Force (IAF) following the resolution of technical issues. This statement follows concerns voiced by the IAF Chief, Air Marshal AP Singh, regarding delays in the aircraft's delivery.

HAL Chairman and Managing Director D K Sunil clarified that the delays were due to technical hurdles rather than industry negligence. He emphasized that concerns from the Air Chief are valid and assured reporters at Aero India 2025 that the matter has been addressed.

Sunil confirmed that meetings have been held at various levels and the production of aircraft structures is underway. With engine availability, HAL is poised to kick off deliveries, underscoring the team's commitment to meet the IAF's expectations and resolve any lingering apprehensions.
