PM Modi to visit Varanasi on March 24

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit his parliamentary constituency Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh tomorrow. Apart from addressing the One World TB Summit,  Prime Minister will also dedicate and lay the foundation stone of various projects worth more than 1,780 crore rupees on the occasion.

This includes the integrated pack house which has been constructed at Karkhiyaon near the Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport in Varanasi. It will help in boosting agricultural exports of Varanasi and the surrounding region.

According to the correspondent reports, state of the art facility at pack house will pave way for export of vegetables and fruits particularly the Langda variety of mango of Varanasi to countries like Japan, Korea, England and Australia.

Talking exclusively to reporter, C.B Singh, the General Manager of the Agricultural and Processed food products export Development authority APEDA said that this facility will be a boon to the farmers of the region and is likely to double the current export of fruits and vegetables.

This integrated pack house will be third in UP after Saharanpur and Lucknow and first of the Purvanchal region.

Constructed in around 4461 square feet's area with 15.78 crore rupees the pack house is an excellent example of make in India campaign which will also have single window clearance.
