CT semifinal: AUS reach 113/3 after 23 overs vs India

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Australia reached 113 for 3 after 23 overs in their Champions Trophy semifinal match against India here on Tuesday.

Captain Steve Smith and Josh Inglis batted on 24 and 0 respectively after Australia opted to bat.

Mohammed Shami accounted for Cooper Connolly (0) in the third over while Varun Chakravarthy dismissed the dangerous Travis Head (39) in the ninth over. Ravindra Jadeja Lbw Marnus Labuschagne (29) in the 22nd over,

The Indian players took the field wearing black armbands in honour of domestic cricket legend Padmakar Shivalkar, who died in Mumbai on Monday due to age-related illness. He was 84.

Australia made two changes from their previous match playing XI, bringing in Cooper Connolly for injured Matthews Short and Tanveer Sangha for Spencer Johnson.

India fielded the same playing XI of their previous match.
