CT Semifinal: Ravindra, Williamson slam 50 for 1-down NZ
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Rachin Ravindra slammed his fifth ODI half-century and is leading the charge for New Zealand in their Champions Trophy semi-final against South Africa in Lahore.
Kane Williamson has joined Ravindra in the middle after the wicket of Will Young in the eighth over. Rachin Ravindra, however, is batting well from the other end.
New Zealand reached 169 for 1 after 28 overs. Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson were batting on 90 and 55 respectively.
Both teams are eyeing a place in Sunday's final against India in Dubai.
South Africa topped Group B after convincing wins over Afghanistan and England. On the other hand, New Zealand had handsome wins over Pakistan and Bangladesh, but lost to India.
New Zealand, however, did beat South Africa when these two sides clashed at Lahore three weeks earlier, in the tri-series ahead of Champions Trophy 2025.
