KIYG: Satwik wins silver medal in weightlifting event
JAMMU [Maha Media]: A promising weightlifter from Jammu and Kashmir, Satwik Luthra has created history by winning silver medal in 102-kg category in the ongoing Khelo India Youth Games at Bihar.
As per the official communiqué, the weightlifting events held on Wednesday at Patna in Khelo India Youth Games.
Luthra won a silver medal in the 102-kg category after lifting 264-kg.
Aiming to participate in Youth Olympic Games 2026, Luthra is practising for the last five years at Maulana Azad Stadium under the guidance of Coach Aakash Virdhy.
Notably, Luthra also won Silver Medal in the National Games 2024 held at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh.
Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, has congratulated the weightlifter on his spectacular show at the prestigious games.
