All-party delegations to brief PM Modi soon
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Members of the high-level all-party delegations currently touring key partner countries and UN Security Council member states as part of Operation Sindoor’s global diplomatic outreach are expected to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon their return to India.
Sources indicate that the meeting could take place over the weekend or early next week, during which the distinguished Parliamentarians and seasoned diplomats will share their experiences, feedback, and outcomes from the extensive international campaign.
India launched this unprecedented diplomatic offensive following Operation Sindoor—a decisive military operation targeting terror launchpads across Pakistan, including Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)—in retaliation for the heinous April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians.
As part of the outreach, seven separate delegations were dispatched, underscoring India’s unified resolve to combat terrorism in all its forms and to present a consolidated national stance to the international community.
The delegations, led by prominent Members of Parliament—Shashi Tharoor (INC), Ravi Shankar Prasad (BJP), Sanjay Kumar Jha (JDU), Baijayant Panda (BJP), Kanimozhi Karunanidhi (DMK), Supriya Sule (NCP), and Shrikant Eknath Shinde (Shiv Sena)—carried India’s message of zero tolerance towards terrorism to more than 33 countries since the mission’s launch on May 21.
Comprising parliamentarians, former ministers, and veteran diplomats, these delegations presented intelligence dossiers, evidence of Pakistan’s ISI involvement in cross-border terrorism, and firsthand details from Operation Sindoor to foreign governments, think tanks, media, and UN bodies.
The delegation led by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda engaged countries across the Gulf and North Africa, while Ravi Shankar Prasad’s group covered Europe, including key EU leaders. Sanjay Kumar Jha’s delegation focused on East and Southeast Asia.
Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde’s team engaged partners in West Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa, while Shashi Tharoor’s delegation toured Guyana, Panama, Colombia, and Brazil, with scheduled engagements in Washington later on Monday.
Kanimozhi Karunanidhi’s delegation engaged Eastern and Southern Europe, including Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain. Supriya Sule’s group traveled through Africa and the Middle East, consolidating India’s message of a united front against terrorism.
Coordinated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), this outreach seeks to strengthen international consensus against terrorism, isolate Pakistan diplomatically, and highlight its military and intelligence complicity in nurturing terror networks.
The expected meeting with Prime Minister Modi will provide a platform for the delegations to share their insights and recommendations, further shaping India’s strategic response to cross-border terrorism.
