
MP: Monsoon set to arrive within 3 days
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: The southwest monsoon is expected to reach Madhya Pradesh in the next 3 days, around June 15-16. Before it arrives, the weather will be very different across the state. Some areas will experience intense heat, while others may have storms and rain. On Saturday, there is a heat wave warning for Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, and Chhatarpur. Heavy rain is possible in Ratlam, Jhabua, and Alirajpur.
According to the Meteorological Department, strong storms, thunder, and light rain may occur in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Agar-Malwa, Dhar, Barwani, Khargone, Rajgarh, Shajapur, Dewas, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Harda, Sehore, Vidisha, Raisen, Narmadapuram, Betul, Sagar, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Damoh, Panna, Satna, Mauganj, Maihar, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, Anuppur, Dindori, Mandla, and Balaghat on Saturday.
On Friday, many districts in the state saw strong storms and rain. Two factories that made gatta from straw near Kakarvaya village in Shivpuri were heavily damaged. The storm uprooted the pillars and roofs of both factories, causing straw and bricks to wash away in the rain.
