
Rahul in Bhopal to rebuild Congress base in MP
BHOPAL [Maha Media]: eader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi reached the Congress headquarters in Bhopal on Tuesday. He will hold three consecutive meetings here. The visit aims to rebuild the fractured party base in Madhya Pradesh, especially after Congress failed to debut in 2024 Lok Sabha elections here.
In the afternoon, he will address the convention of district presidents and block presidents at Ravindra Bhavan.
Earlier, on the way from the airport to the PCC office, some Congress workers had stopped his car to meet and greet him, sloganeering 'Rahul Gandhi Zindabad' (All Hail Rahul Gandhi).
The police present on the spot managed the crowd and cleared the way.
Rahul will stay in Bhopal till 5 to 6pm. He will hold three meetings at the Congress State Headquarters (PCC). In the afternoon, he will address the convention of district presidents and block presidents at Ravindra Bhavan.
This one-day visit of Rahul in MP is completely organisational. The entire focus will be on the reconstruction of the party by understanding the current situation.
This visit of Rahul is also special because 3 days ago, on May 31, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed the Mahila Maha Sammelan at Jamboree Maidan in Bhopal.
In Khanugaon of Lalghati in Bhopal, Congress workers broke the security cordon of the police and came on the road and stopped Rahul Gandhi's car. The police removed them and cleared the way. During this, some leaders even fell on the road.
