CM Yadav inaugurates regional Industry Conclave in Gwalior
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: On Wednesday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav lit the lamp to start the Regional Industry Conclave in Gwalior. This is the third conclave in Madhya Pradesh within 6 months, with earlier events held in Jabalpur in July and Ujjain in February.
The Regional Industry Conclave in Gwalior is attracting more interest from industrialists compared to the ones in Ujjain and Jabalpur. This is likely because the Gwalior-Chambal region is crossed by or located near 7 major road corridors of the country.
Representatives from 9 different sectors have expressed interest in establishing their industries in the Gwalior-Chambal region. Godrej Company is set to invest Rs 450 crore in Gwalior. Following their investment in personal care, the company is now launching a new unit in Malanpur, Gwalior, focusing on expanding into home care and hair care products.
During the event, Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ Limited, announced that the Adani Group will be investing in a 2 million tonne cement grinding unit in Guna and in the defense sector in Shivpuri, with a total investment of Rs 3500 crore. This initiative is expected to create job opportunities for 3500 people.
Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, and State Government Ministers Prahlad Patel, Tulsiram Silawat, Chetan Kumar Kashyap, Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Karan Singh Verma, Ramniwas Rawat, Adal Singh Kansana, Govind Singh Rajput and Rakesh Shukla are among the dignitaries present at the conclave.
GIS-2025 is proposed to be organised in Bhopal on February 7 and 8 next year. The main objective of the GIS-2025 Summit is to establish Madhya Pradesh as a favorable investment destination and to include it among the leading states of the country by highlighting the capabilities, abundant resources and favorable industrial environment of the state. The first event in the series of Regional Industry Conclave was organised in Ujjain on March 1 and 2 this year. Later, the conclave was held in Jabalpur last month on July 20. Besides, an Interactive Session on Investment Opportunities in MP events has also been held simultaneously outside the state as part of the pre-event of 'Invest Madhya Pradesh-Global Investor Summit-2025'.
