
4th Test: India 321/6 at Lunch vs England
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: India went six down but in a massive boost Rishabh Pant came out to bat on Day 2 of the ongoing fourth Test against England at Old Trafford, Manchester.
Pant hurt his right foot badly while trying to play a reverse-sweep on the bowling of Chris Woakes on Day 1. His foot started bleeding and it also got swollen. The player had to be taken out of the ground in an ambulance cart. However, now he has come out to bat.
India were 321 for 6 at Lunch. Notably, Pant is only available for batting and Dhruv Jurel will play his role behind the stumps.
Earlier, Ben Stokes won the toss and opted to bowl first on a fairly flat wicket. Although Chris Woakes did bowl a lovely spell and picked up the wicket it was skipper himslef like at Lord’s who changed the course of the game through the day by picking two crucial wickets. First, it was skipper Shubman Gill, and then it was Sai Sudharsan late in the day.
India has made three changes in the side with Sai Sudharsan, Shardul Thakur, and Anshul Kamboj, who have come in for Karun Nair, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Akash Deep. As per England, they had to replace injured Shoaib Bashir with Liam Dawson.
