Zanzibar President to take part in IIT-M convocation
CHENNAI [Maha Media]: Zanzibar President Hussein Ali Mwinyi will participate in the 63rd convocation of the IIT Madras on Friday, signifying the growing ties between India and the institute's success of the Zanzibar campus, the institute said.
As chief guest, Mwinyi, who is the Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, will deliver the convocation address to the graduating class of 2026 and give away medals and prizes to meritorious students and researchers at the event to be held at the Students Activity Centre, IIT Madras Campus. His presence marks a milestone celebrating the two-year anniversary of IIT Madras Zanzibar campus.
