Sensex rises by 44.22 points
MUMBAI [Maha Media]: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday rose by 44.22 pts to 82,489.43 in early trade as buying was seen in IT, Metal, Commodities and Realty stocks.
The Nifty advanced by 30.10 pts at 25,133.30.
Sensex registered intra-day highs and lows at 82,680.79 and 82,445.11, respectively.
The Nifty registered a day's high at 25,199.30 and a low at 25,122.00 pts.
The Midcap advanced by 135.10 points, and the smallcap rose by 282.12 points.
Sectoral gainers were IT by 1.07 pc, Metal by 1.04 pc ,Commodities by 0.79 pc, Auto by 0,28 pc, Utilities by 0.28 pc, Tech by 0.64 pc, Realty by 0,27 pc, Oil & gas by 0.39 pc,Capital goods by 0.37 pc, and Industrial by 0.52 pc.
Sectoral losers were Consumer Durables by 0.06 pc, Financial by 0.14 pc and Bankex by 0.03 pc.
The gainer was Indus Bank, up 1.63 pc to Rs 850.15, Tech Mahindra By 1.41 pc to Rs 1600.85, NTPC by 1.08 pc to Rs 340.75, Infosys by 0.92 pc to Rs 1587.00 and HCL tech by 0.89 pc to Rs 1,663.15.
The losers were Asian Paints by 0.72 pc to Rs 2,232.00, Eternal by 0.62 pc to Rs 255.26 ,ICICI bank by 0.55 pc to Rs 14527.00 , HDFC bank by 0.32 pc to Rs 1,971.70 and HUL by 0.30 pc to Rs 2,385.00
