
Five, including three militants, nabbed in Manipur
IMPHAL [Maha Media]: In a series of successful operations carried out during the last 24 hours, Manipur Police and allied security forces apprehended several individuals involved in criminal and insurgent activities across Thoubal and Imphal districts.
Police today said Manipur Police, with assistance from vigilant locals, arrested a vehicle thief from Thoubal district. The arrest was made while he was attempting to steal a vehicle from Babu Bazar, Thoubal.
One anti-lock jack used to bypass vehicle ignition systems and one previously stolen two-wheeler were recovered.
In a separate operation security forces arrested a militant from Leikai, who was apprehended from Imphal West.
In another operation, a woman cadre of an outfit was nabbed from Imphal West.
Another militant was nabbed from Imphal East.
In another significant operation police arrested a man from Irong Chesaba Salam Achouba from near Wednesday Market, Mayang Imphal Bengoon Maning Makha.
One .32 pistol with a magazine and four rounds of 7.65mm ammunition were recovered.
