MP: State-Level Nishadraj Conference in Ujjain today

UJJAIN [Maha Media]: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the goal is not only to honour the Fishermen community but also to empower them through technological innovation, safety, and training. Madhya Pradesh is emerging as an inspiration for the entire country in the domain of the “Blue Revolution.” A state-level Nishadraj Conference will be held in Ujjain on Saturday, July 12, in the presence of CM Dr. Yadav. The event will mark a major step in strengthening government initiatives aimed at dignity, safety, and prosperity for the fishing community. It is poised to be a landmark in promoting social harmony and modern fishery practices.

Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Minister of State (Independent Charge) Shri Narayan Singh Panwar, Ujjain In-charge Minister Shri Gautam Tetwal, and Chairman of the Fishermen Welfare Board Shri Sitaram Batham will also be present. Welfare benefits and multiple schemes will be distributed to the fishermen.

Minister of State Shri Narayan Singh Panwar said the upcoming state-level Nishadraj Conference in the sacred city of Ujjain is a major step in honouring the cultural legacy and pride of the Nishad community. He described Nishadraj as a timeless symbol of dedication, equality, and service, and recalled the legendary friendship between Shri Ram and Nishadraj as a profound tale of social harmony.
