PM Modi launches Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Mukhmantri Mahila Rozgaar Yojana’ in Bihar, transferring Rs 10,000 each to 75 lakh women’s bank accounts through an online transaction. Addressing Jeevika Didis, he stressed the role of the Jan Dhan scheme. 'If over 30 crore mothers and sisters had not opened bank accounts under Jan Dhan Yojana, could we transfer funds directly into your accounts today?'
PM Modi assured that the money will go entirely into women’s accounts. 'Not a single rupee can be siphoned off. Earlier, scheme funds were looted before reaching you,' he said. He added, 'A brother is happy only when his sister is healthy and the family is content. Today, both your brothers, Narendra and Nitish, are working together for you.'
The Prime Minister praised Bihar’s law and order under CM Nitish Kumar. 'Our daughters are joining police and forces in large numbers, even flying fighter planes. During RJD rule, lawlessness hurt women the most. Roads and bridges barely existed. Naxal terror was widespread. Today, under Nitish ji, rule of law has returned. Women feel the greatest relief. Daughters step out without fear.'
Modi smiled at Rita Devi of Bhojpur, saying, 'You speak so quickly and listed so many schemes.” He greeted her warmly. To Noor Jahan Khatoon of Gaya, he said, “You explained things well. Gather 50 Didis weekly and share your experience to inspire others.'
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, in a post on X on Friday wrote, "A historic day for the daughters and sisters of Bihar. PM Narendra Modi Ji will transfer a total amount of Rs 7,500 crore; Rs 10,000 each to 75 lakh women beneficiaries of Bihar under the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rojgar Yojana through video conferencing."
"This will not only provide financial assistance to women for self-employment but will also prove to be a strong step towards making them self-reliant and empowered," he added.
