PM Modi thanks world leaders for Republic Day greetings
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to several world leaders for extending greetings and wishes to India on the occasion of its 77th Republic Day.
Responding to a message from Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay on social media platform X, PM Modi thanked the Bhutanese leadership and people for their warm wishes. He said the special bonds of friendship and the unique ties between India and Bhutan would continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.
In reply to a post by French President Emmanuel Macron, PM Modi thanked him for the warm greetings and said he looked forward to welcoming the French leader to India soon. He added that the visit would help further deepen and diversify the India–France strategic partnership.
Acknowledging greetings from Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides, the Prime Minister described Cyprus as a close friend and trusted partner. He reiterated India’s commitment to strengthening the comprehensive partnership between the two countries and said he looked forward to welcoming the Cypriot President to India.
PM Modi also responded to a message from Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, thanking him for the warm Republic Day wishes. He said India would continue to work closely with the Maldives for the benefit of both peoples and extended festive greetings to the Maldivian people.
India celebrated its 77th Republic Day on January 26, marking the adoption of the Constitution and reaffirming its democratic values, with greetings pouring in from leaders across the world.
