Supreme Court stays NRI quota allocation in Assam
New Delhi [Mahmedia] The Supreme Court has issued notice on the petition filed under Article 32 of the Constitution. In this petition, the rules of keeping 7% seats reserved for NRIs in the medical colleges of the state of Assam have been challenged. A division bench of Justice Ravindra Bhatt and Justice Arvind Kumar also stayed further allotment of seats under NRI quota in the ongoing counseling of seats.
