MP: Three weather systems trigger heavy rains in state

NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Madhya Pradesh is facing continuous heavy rainfall due to the active monsoon trough, cyclonic circulation, and low-pressure systems. The weather department has issued warnings for 22 districts across Ujjain, Sagar, Jabalpur and Gwalior-Chambal divisions. Many areas have seen flooding, waterlogging, and rescue operations, while rainfall has already crossed the state’s average quota.

In the next 24 hours, heavy rainfall is expected in Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Datia, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashoknagar, Neemuch, Mandsaur, Sagar, Damoh, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Mandla, Dindori and Balaghat.Light rain will continue in other parts of the state, including Indore and Bhopal.

On Sunday, 30 districts received rainfall ranging from light to heavy. Umaria recorded the highest rainfall of a quarter inch.Light showers also occurred in Bhopal, Betul, Datia, Guna, Gwalior, Sehore, Shajapur, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Dewas, Indore, Narmadapuram, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Damoh, Jabalpur, Chhatarpur, Rewa, Sagar, Harda, Mandla, Morena, Sheopur, Satna, Sidhi, Tikamgarh, and Balaghat.
