Zubeen Garg's two security guards arrested
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Zubeen Garg's death case has been intensified after two more arrests in the case. Two personal security guards of the late Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, Nandeswar Bora and Paresh Baishya, have been arrested by Assam Police in connection with an ongoing investigation. Both men were Assam Police personnel who had worked as Zubeen Garg's personal security for seven years. Their arrests bring the total number of people apprehended in the case to seven.
The investigation has revealed a significant amount of financial activity linked to the bodyguards. Authorities have reported that over one crore rupees in transactions were recorded from their bank accounts in the last two years. This discovery has raised questions about the nature and source of these funds.
Notably, Bora and Baishya were not part of the group that accompanied Zubeen Garg on his trip to Singapore. They remained in Assam while the singer and others traveled abroad. This detail has added another layer of complexity to the investigation, prompting authorities to examine their activities during that period.
Earlier in the week, Zubeen Garg's wife, Garima Saikia Garg, stated that her late husband had entrusted his two personal security officers with money for his charitable endeavors. She explained that Zubeen often engaged in social work and provided funds to his PSOs for this purpose.
Garima also mentioned that the PSOs maintained detailed records of all financial transactions, including bank statements and a diary documenting various activities. These records are now being scrutinized as part of the ongoing investigation to determine if the funds were used appropriately and to uncover any potential irregularities. The police are working to determine if the financial transactions are related to Zubeen Garg's death or if they are connected to other illegal activities.
