1st Test: Solid start from team India in Headingley
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul have given India a good start batting first on Day 1 of the first Test against England at Headingley, Leeds.
England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and opted to bowl. India have reached 57/0 after 19 overs. A new chapter is beginning in Indian cricket, with Shubman Gill taking over as the captain of the team.
India have named one debutant, B Sai Sudharsan, while two players are making a comeback, in the form of Karun Nair and Shardul Thakur.
