Lord’s Test Day 5: India needs 81 runs to win
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Reddy are trying to save India's ship from sinking in the first session on Day 5 of the high-pressure third Test against England at Lord's.
India have reached 111/7 after 39 overs, and still need 85 more to chase down the target of 193.
India lost the wickets of Rishabh Pant, KL Rahula and Washington Sundar inside 40 minutes of the first session. Jofra Archer bowled a breathtaking spell, castling Pant with a ripper before taking a stunning one-handed catch to send Washington back.
KL Rahul was dismissed after a sensational DRS call by England captain Ben Stokes. Shubman Gill-led India will become the first Indian team since 1986 to win back-to-back Tests on English soil should they win today.
The winner of the match will also go up 2-1 in the five-match series.
