Sensex reclaims 75,000 mark
NEW DELHI [Maha Media]: The stock market was volatile on Monday. Sensex settled 938 points higher at 75,502.85 points. Nifty closed 257 points higher at 23,408 points. Auto, metal, energy and banking shares rose.
On the sectoral front, barring IT, media, pharma, realty and other 3, all other indices closed with gains. Nifty Auto emerged as the highest gainer, rising 1.55%.
Earlier on Friday, March 13, the stock market saw a decline. Sensex closed down 1,470 points (1.93%) at 74,564. While Nifty also fell by 488 points (2.06%), closing at 23,151.
