Sensex rises 545 points to 85,220 points
MUMBAI [Maha Media]: The Indian equity benchmarks staged a strong comeback on the last trading session of the year 2025 on Wednesday. The Sensex 30 settled at 85,220.60 points, registering a gain of 545 points. Similarly, Nifty 50 rose 0.74% and reclaimed the 26,000 mark.
The stocks of Tata Steel, Kotak Bank, Reliance, Titan, Axis Bank, TMPV, Trent, Powergrid, etc were among the major gainers on the Sensex.
All the sectoral indices soared today with Nifty Oil & Gas leading the pack.
On the second trading day of the week today, December 30, the stock market traded flat. Sensex closed down 20 points at 84,675. Nifty saw a marginal decline of 3 points, closing at 25,938.
