Earth Hour to be Observed on March 28

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Continuing its annual tradition, WWF-India (World Wide Fund for Nature-India) is organizing Earth Hour across the country on March 28.

The organization has appealed to government and non-government offices, private establishments, students, and the general public to conserve energy by switching off all non-essential lights from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on March 28. The initiative aims to encourage citizens to integrate energy conservation into their daily lives and contribute to nature and environmental protection.

In the lead-up to the event, WWF-India Bhopal, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Barkatullah University, organized a Walkathon and Street Play (Nukkad Natak) on March 25. Students from various prominent institutions, including LNCT College, SAM Global University, VNS College, IES University, and Sarojini Naidu Girls College, participated in the awareness drive.

The Walkathon commenced from the WWF office in Arera Colony, passed through 1100 Quarters to 10 Number Market, and returned via Rajiv Gandhi Chowk. A large number of citizens joined the march to support the cause of a sustainable planet.
