MP: First Draft electoral roll to be released today

BHOPAL [Maha Media]: Madhya Pradesh has completed the first phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of its voter list.

According to sources from the Election Commission, the names of 42 lakh voters from the 2003 voter list did not match current records. The revision process, which began on 7 November 2025 and continued for nearly 45 days, involved over thousands of Booth Level Officers (BLOs) visiting homes to verify voters physically.

Today, the first draft of the voter list will be published. Naturally, citizens are concerned about what will happen if their names are missing, whether they can vote in the future, and where they should file complaints.

The news agency spoke to officials from the Chief Electoral Officer’s (CEO) office to explain the process in detail and answer key questions.
