Salman's father Salim Khan on ventilator

MUMBAI [Maha Media]: Salman Khan's father, veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan, has been shifted to a ventilator. He was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning. Salim Khan's condition stable, ventilator used as a precaution”, says Dr Jalil D Parkar, Pulmonologist at Lilavati Hospital.

According to a Filmfare report, Salim Khan was brought to the hospital after complaining of anxiety and high blood pressure. Later, a blood clot and bleeding in the brain were reported. His operation will be performed today.

However, the reason for his hospitalisation has not been revealed. A medical bulletin will be issued at 11 am after the family's permission.

After Salim Khan's health deteriorated, Salman Khan left his shoot and reached the hospital on Tuesday. Sanjay Dutt and Javed Akhtar also reached the hospital.

Hospital administration had stated that Salim Khan was brought to the emergency at 8:30 AM on Tuesday. A team of doctors has been formed for his treatment. It includes Neurologist Dr. Vinay Chavan, Cardiologist Dr. Ajit Menon, Neurosurgeons Dr. Nitin Dange and Dr. Bineet Ahluwalia.

Salim Khan is 90 years old. He was born on November 24, 1935. He is counted among the veteran scriptwriters of Hindi cinema.

Salim Khan started his career in acting. His career began in the 1960s with the film 'Baraat', but he only received limited and small roles in films.
